North Texas Food Bank
The North Texas Food Bank moved their distribution center to Plano to better serve the growing metroplex. Among the many goals of the project were to create an inviting place for volunteers and donors that was also low maintenance for the non-profit hunger relief organization. Additionally, a learning and demonstration garden was designed to educate the public on nutritious food options. The garden exhibits rainwater harvesting and different ways to grow fruits and vegetables through in-ground planting, raised planters, and a variety of vertical trellises.
